rings are individually machined from a solid bar of Ti 6AI-4V*.
This alloy is comprised of 90 percent titanium, 6 percent
aluminum and 4 percent vanadium. While the commercially
pure grades (99.9 percent) used in most titanium jewelry are
very tough, Ti 6AI-4V is two times stronger and 2.5-5 times
harder.
Ti 6AI-4V is more
expensive and more difficult to machine, however the added
strength and the extra durability of finishes make it a great
choice.
